Resume, the position

So I whipped up a resume today for Chapman's career fair. It doesn't show a very focused career path or set me up as a model employee for any particular sort of job, but ít does highlight a lot of things I'm proud of. I'm proud of what it shows and where my life has gone. I can't wait to do more!

Ed is playing Mega Man 4 or 5 right now. I wonder what Mega Man's resume would look like. Hmmmm . . .

MEGA MAN
Goal: Highly motivated blue robot seeks employment as venerable video game mascot.

Experience:
Defeating Robot Masters: 1989 to Present
Battled my way through various fortresses inhabited by evil robot minions to eventually confront and destroy various Robot Masters and steal their powers.

Skills:
Jumping, shooting, stealing powers from Robot Masters, charging up Mega Buster.

Hobbies:
Climbing ladders, pretending to be a Real Boy, playing soccer.

References:
Dr. Light, my benevolent creator, Rush my red robot dog, Dr. Wiley, my wiley arch nemesis.

Yeah, probably something like that. But a million times cooler. :(

Arriba, adentro de los arboles

The title means (I hope!), "Up, inside the Trees!"

For my Honors Senior Project I'm going to be giving a presentation about tree climbing, specifically tree climbing in Orange County. Those of you who know me have probably had to drag me away from a tree on at least one occation. It is far away my favorite sport, and one of the things that brings me the most peace. I could go on, but I'm afraid I already sound like a dirty hippie. Anyway, those of us who've really been tree climbing know that it rules beyond what can be expressed without hyperbole.

So, to help me research my project, and just for fun: who has tree-climbing stories to share? And if you know of any choice trees in the Orange County area, please please PLEASE let me know about them so that I can report on them in class. And if you can't think of any tree climbing experiences worth relating to the rest of us, for your own good, go out and HAVE ONE! Even if you just hang from a lower branch, it might very well turn a humdrum day into something meaningful.
