Nearly everything feels like an experiment these days

Recently I've found myself quite interested in photographing the ground, shadows, feet, etc. I think I'm attracted to the flatness of these images, of their relative simplicity that makes color and composition of paramount importance. It's a way of studying naturally occuring art and patterns by preserving them within the borders of the frame. Like pinning down a butterfly.
This skating video reminds me of a film strip unraveling.
