The Four Food Groups
this was my dinner tonight.
Includes: Chicken nuggets, a carrot, cinnamon apple sauce, and chocolate milk.
I took a picture of it because it seemed to me that it had all four food groups perfectly represented, but then I remembered that fruits and veggies are usually grouped together, and "grains and cereals" has its own group. Darn! At least my chicken nuggest are breaded, and I will probably eat a cookie later tonight. So perhaps that will make up for it.
I should also add that this meal filled me up and cost less than a dollar. I don't have room in my tiny, on-loan fridge for anything fancier.
What is everyone else eatting these days?

For breakfast so far today, I've had 'Scotcharoos.' (peanutbutter rice-krispies with a buttherscotch/chocolate frosting). That's meat (protein) and breads and sugars. I think I'm shaking slightly.
Erin, is that "Scotcharoos" thing a cereal or a dessert???
Not sure if it counts as a meat -- that just seems creepy to me! From now on, it's not a meat if you can't catch it in the wild.
I had a similar breakfast, though: a couple of Buddy Bars, peanut butter wafers encased in chocolate. Two come in a pack, which is why I think they're buddies!
I like the simplicity of this photo, although it would definitely not be my choice of a meal.
I've been eating a LOT of sushi lately. And besides that, a lot of Mcdonalds (*hangs head in shame*).
boo McDonalds!
E and I actually got food from there when were were busy setting up for Brett and Autumn's wedding, and it wasn't bad -- we got a garden burger and one of those newish chicken sandwiches.
And I think every time I've hung out with you so far this summer we've had sushi.
Boo McDonald's!
And why is it that i have NEVER heard of Scotcharoos?!?!? i feel jipped or something.
Today i ate some weird sort of German breakfast cereal with milk, a peach (or two?), dry toast, and a banana. Other food groups of the day have been, a waffle with powdered sugar, Belly Flops Irregular Candies (aka reject Jelly Bellies) Junior Mints, a Donut from California brought to me by Dillon Simms, a ham sandwich, and a Buttermilk dessert thing which slightly resembled yogurt. Wow, now that i look at it, it doesn't seem too healthy at all! Oh yeah, i also had a real lunch which was Spaetzle (noodles) with ham and cheese atop the wondrous culinary masterpiece. Whoa, Bavarian food...
sounds like you've eatten better in a day than I do in a week!
mmmm, so much candy . . . mmmmmmmmmm
