Arron Humphey
Today Ed and I drove up to the West Los Angeles courthouse to take care of some traffic ticket nonsense.
The whole trip was further proof that no one really knows what they're talking about. It is hard to explain all of this without going into mudane details about court dates and bail money and criminal records and blah blah blah (just kidding, Mom!) but I talked to about half a dozen people in the court system, and never heard the same story or procedure explained twice.
We also drove all around Santa Monica looking for the DMV on three false sets of directions from three people who should have known better.
Finally, we found it.
As it turns out, we didn't even need to go there, because there wasn't a hold registered under my name. There wasn't even a hold registered under the name the West Long Angeles Police Department had put on ALL my paperwork:
"Arron Humphey."
Try saying that outloud.
Sometimes it's amazing that anything ever gets actually done and more stuff hasn't been accidentally blown up by now (knock on wood?).

i recently went to a law enforcement establishment, and even though i spelled out my name for an officer aloud, he still spelled it wrong: Arron. Maybe it's just a conspiracy OR (more likely) the system supposedly meant to protect us is in many ways a hindrance and a nuisance.
On top of that, they didn't really help me either.
Waaaaa.
